First, there was a quick HR phone call for screening. It was super easy, and the person was really nice. No technical stuff, just basic questions about safety culture and what I want to do in my career. Then, I had a Teams meeting with an engineer. They told me a lot about the job and the company. It was a super chill interview, more of a chat where I got to know the company and the interviewer better. I also got to share about my past work and how I feel about construction.

I interviewed on a Monday with Desiree W and Brian K from Compass group. They said our next meeting would be that Friday, but the time was not set. I thanked them both on Tuesday and heard nothing back. Nothing on Wednesday either. On Thursday night, I emailed them to say I was pulling my interest. Hiring managers who don't have the courtesy or regard to follow through with what they tell applicants are time-wasters and show poor leadership. Now I see they reposted the job on their website today. What a joke.

It was a pretty chill two-stage process. They weren't super focused on technical skills, more about getting a feel for your personality. No need to stress about it, honestly. Everything went smoothly and quickly. I had a 1-hour interview, and then two more rounds, and got an offer less than 3 weeks after applying.
