First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kiewit Corporation.
Quality Manager
This was a great experience. The team was very competent and gave me a solid understanding of the company and the roles available. It was also clear they are supportive of veterans.
- What about this specific project and position interests you?
Manager
It was a lengthy process. It kicked off with an email to a colleague I've known for years. We exchanged emails for a few weeks, then had a few phone calls over another few weeks before setting up a formal interview with my district manager and an area manager. We didn't discuss technical skills since we all knew each other. They were primarily concerned about my planned longevity, as I had worked there before several years ago. It took about another 2 weeks to get started. In total, it was just over a month, which is considered fast for them.
- What is your planned tenure with the company?
Business Manager
The interview process was very fast and really well executed. They even covered travel expenses to fly you out to the district where you would be working. However, I felt like they oversold the role. I was under the impression that the job was practically guaranteed after just showing up to the final interview, which turned out not to be the case.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Describe the steps you would take to bring a project back on track if it was falling behind schedule.
