The whole thing took about five weeks. The interviews themselves were average but overall this experience wasn't great due to scheduling and prepping for eight rounds of calls/interviews. For an IC role with a much lower salary compared to other orgs - it was a bit much. Everyone individually seemed great though! Which is why I hung in there. I'm just not a fan of this process. 1. Call with Talent Manager, 2. Tech skills review with Hiring Manager (building a Flow), 3. Data Model/CPQ scenario with Hiring Manager, 4. Peer/team interview, 5. Sales Leadership interview, 6. Hiring Manager again, 7. Checkin with Talent Manager, 8. Exec Interview

Behavioral Other

It began with a recruiter call, which was alright. The recruiter asked good questions and explained the next steps clearly. However, they didn't know much about the team and deferred many of my questions to the Director of Sales Development. After that, it jumped straight into an unpaid take-home assignment without even meeting a hiring manager, which was a first. The assignment itself was pretty basic and unclear on instructions, but it did allow for showcasing skills. It asked me to choose an area for improvement, explain its business importance, and create training materials for the team. After submitting, it felt like it went into a black hole because I hadn't spoken to anyone on the SDR team to understand their actual challenges or focus areas, and I couldn't discuss my work. I got a generic rejection, and when I asked for more feedback, I was told my work didn't connect to adaptation or another training area that wasn't even part of the prompt. Overall, it was confusing and disappointing. Having interviewed many managers myself, I can't understand assigning a take-home without meeting the candidate first; it seems like a waste of everyone's time.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process involved a few steps. First, there was a phone screening with a recruiter. Then, a 30-minute phone interview with one of the Technical Support & Success managers. After that, a take-home assignment was given, where I had to respond to a customer using their support center articles, which took about 1-1.5 hours. This was followed by a virtual onsite session lasting about 3 hours (including breaks), with three team members, including the hiring manager. It concluded with a brief 15-minute check-in with the recruiter about the next steps. Lastly, there was a virtual executive interview, which was also about 30 minutes long. While the questions were standard for the role, the process felt a bit intense, but everyone was really nice and personable. The recruiting team provided frequent updates and the whole process was very well organized, standing out compared to other companies.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview kicked off with a recruiter call that felt more like an actual interview due to the questions asked. Following that, there was a 30-minute video-less Zoom chat with the hiring manager, which felt a bit short to get to know someone. The next stage was a substantial assignment, which I didn't get to, but I heard it was about handling client interactions. The final step would have been presenting that assignment to a panel for grading, which I also didn't reach. I really wanted this job at my dream company, but a lengthy assignment and presentation felt a bit much, especially since I haven't encountered that requirement in my HRIS experience before.
