Customer Success Manager
The interview started with a recruiter call to go over general background and expectations. Then, there was a peer interview focusing on situational questions and team overview. After that, a homework assignment was given, which took several hours but had a flexible deadline. The next round involved the hiring manager and a director for experience-based questions and a mock client presentation. The final round was with the director of the CSM team, focusing on why I wanted to join. The whole process was well-organized and clearly communicated.
- Can you share some feedback you've received from a manager previously?
- Tell me about a process improvement you've made.
- Could you describe a complex cross-team project you were involved in?
Customer Success Manager
I recently wrapped up my third round of interviews for the CSM role, which was a marathon 3-hour session. The first two rounds involved chatting with a recruiter and then a team manager. The final 3-hour stretch on Zoom was packed: I met with two TA folks, went over a case study with a CSM director, did a short presentation for two Sr. CSMs, discussed cross-departmental collaboration with a Sr. Implementation Strategist, spoke with a Team Manager and a Sr. Team Manager for CSMs, and finally, had a quick chat with the initial recruiter. Even though the conversation flowed well, those three hours definitely caught up to me by the end!
- What are your career aspirations for the next two to three years?
- Describe your approach to managing a client demanding immediate training.
- What's your strategy for prioritizing multiple client issues?
Customer Success Manager
The interview included a quick chat with the recruiter, then a 30-minute talk with someone from CS. After that, there was a take-home test where I had to make a presentation. The final stage was a long virtual onsite interview with several CS leaders and an Account Manager. This last part had some customer situations where I had to explain my response.
- Can you explain your interest in Greenhouse and this specific role?
- Could you share past experiences supporting DEI initiatives?
- How do you handle managing conflicting customer demands and priorities?
