The interview process was quite clear and organized. It began with a brief 15-minute phone call with a recruiter. They asked about my understanding of DE&I and provided a thorough explanation of the job, compensation, and work schedule. The next step was a 30-minute phone interview with a hiring manager, focused on understanding my work and learning habits. Following that, I was given an assignment that took approximately one hour to complete. The subsequent stage was a longer 2.5-hour video call via Zoom. During this session, I first spoke with an HR representative, then with a team lead, and finally with another Support Specialist. The last 15 minutes were spent with the recruiter discussing benefits and other HR-related queries. I genuinely liked most of the people I interacted with, but unfortunately, the Team Lead came across as quite uninterested during our conversation. This lack of connection with the Team Lead made it difficult for me to perform at my best, and as a result, I didn't advance further.

I interviewed for a CSS position at Greenhouse, and it was a really great experience, taking only two weeks from application to finish. It's a pretty intense hiring process, but I appreciate how thorough Greenhouse is in finding the right people. The steps were: a screening call with HR, a take-home test, a 3-hour panel interview with the team and manager, a culture and diversity chat with employees, and a final executive call. Each step made me more excited about the company. I was nervous, but they made me feel comfortable. The people were super kind and genuine, and the recruiter kept me updated almost daily. The 'Culture Add' discussion was amazing, where I got to share personal challenges and wins. It meant a lot that they considered my whole personality and showed empathy. This was the best hiring process I've been through. It's tough but worth the effort, and honestly, it's pretty standard for good companies these days.

I spoke with a senior customer rep and we had a great conversation during our interview. He literally said to me at the end of the interview "you're a shoe-in for the next steps of the process". I followed up two to three times with the recruiters and I have not had any response from them. I was really looking forward to having an opportunity to work at Greenhouse. It would have been polite to send an email to let me know if I am still being considered for the position or not. Transparency is an important factor when interviewing all potential candidates.
