Financial Analyst
So FIS Global's hiring process kicks off with a quick chat with a recruiter, about 15-20 minutes, just to see if you're a basic fit and sort out the logistics. After that, there's one interview for the financial analyst role, lasting 30 minutes, where they'll probe your technical basics and how you work using questions about your past experiences and a look at your resume. The last two interviews, also 30 minutes each, are with your potential peers. These chats are mainly about seeing if you'd fit the team culture, can you work well with others, and what your potential is for the long run. Each of these last two interviewers might focus a bit differently on the role. Everything is pretty conversational and behavioral, they're really looking for examples using the STAR method about working together, sorting out issues, and being flexible, not so much about doing complex financial problems on the spot.

Automation Engineer
I had 2 interviews scheduled for the same day. First, there was a telephonic call which I didn't get a response from, but they called back for a discussion. Then, I got another call asking which one I should join, but again, no response. At the last minute, I received a call saying the first interview was cancelled and to join the second call. When I joined, the panel was unavailable as they were traveling. After waiting, another join happened and the call ended in 15 minutes.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Discuss CI/CD.
- Discuss Framework Architecture.
Frontend Developer Intern
So, the HR interview was pretty standard and professional. The recruiter was nice and asked about my studies, my background, and why I'm interested in this job. After that, I got some coding challenges on LeetCode and HackerRank. They were the usual algorithm and logic problems, nothing too surprising, but you definitely need to be good at problem-solving. I did fine with those. Then, I had a technical interview with two engineers. They seemed cool and easy to talk to, and it felt pretty relaxed. They asked me some technical questions and we talked about the coding problems I did earlier. I didn't make it through this part, but honestly, the whole process felt fair and everything was organized well.
- Can you explain pass by value versus pass by reference?
- Describe how arrays are stored in memory.
- How are memory locations determined for array data?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process started with a really brief recruiter call, like 3 minutes, just asking about salary and availability and not giving any role details, saying that would be discussed later. Then an interview was set up with a VP and Senior Director, but only the VP showed up. He seemed inexperienced as an interviewer, asking 'Have you any questions?' right after 'How are you?'. When I asked him to explain the role and why it was open, he punted, saying the Snr Director could answer that better. He then jumped into 5 generic competency questions, but the last one was about something in the CSM role I'd never done, based on my CV. I used an example from a framework I knew instead. I got the vibe he hadn't read my CV, or wasn't looking at it, even saying he needed to rush into questions, which a good interviewer would tailor, especially if they'd asked about my background. I asked about the role's sector, and he didn't know, so I guessed FS based on my experience. My questions after the competency ones got vague answers. Red flags from the recruiter and first interviewer. Waited weeks for feedback, then the recruiter said it was a no because I lacked banking experience. I found that funny considering my background.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a difficult client situation?
- Could you describe the role and the reason it's available?
- Can you give an example of using this specific framework?
