Senior Project Manager
The whole hiring process took about a month. There were 3 rounds in total. The first round was with HR and involved some tough salary negotiations. The second round was a managerial interview with a senior delivery person where we discussed my previous roles and responsibilities as listed on my resume.
- Can you discuss project management scenarios?
- Tell me about your approach to stakeholder management.
- What are your methods for risk management?
Project Manager
I met a recruiter on campus and had a phone screen with her in Nov 2015. I followed up twice every two weeks. Then, in Feb 2016, she emailed me about available positions. I then set up another interview with a project manager in Little Rock, AR. I had a phone screen with him and am now waiting to hear back.
- Regarding your education and future career, where do you see yourself?
- Describe a situation where you faced adversity within a group and what the outcome was.
- Can you share an experience where you led a project from its beginning to its completion, detailing the outcome?
Project Manager
applied online about 1 or 2 months ago. Got an email from HR to see if I was still interested in the NON TECHNICAL PM position. I said yes and had a phone screen with HR. My resume was passed to the hiring manager and I got an email 3 days later wanting to set up a face to face interview. The interview was ok. They asked me specifically about my pm and face to face interactions with customers. Overall they were looking for someone with technical skills which I had. I was confused because the job req specifically stated NON TECHNICAL. Anyway I was basically told I was not what they were looking for but had a good background and that the hiring manager would keep my resume on file and pass it along to their other departments that focused more on processes.
