Customer Service Associate
The interview process really depends on the interviewer you get and their personal feelings. I spoke with two call center managers who were unfriendly, rude, and racist. I had over 5 years of customer service experience and knew I wouldn't get the job right after the interview. They didn't seem engaged at all. The interviewers were a Spanish woman and a white man, and they were not friendly. As an African American woman, I feel like these opportunities are not given to us. The interview was conducted via video call.
- Can you tell me about your educational background?
Customer Service Representative
The day I applied for this role on the FIS website, I got a text message about a self-paced text message interview. I said yes, and then got questions via text which I answered. There were about 6-8 questions about things like availability, pay, and returning to the office. I answered them honestly and submitted my responses. A few days later, I got an email for an assessment called a "Virtual Job Tryout" (VJT). I clicked the link, logged in, and did the VJT. It had a customer service scenario part, sample calls, and a personality/behavior assessment. The VJT took about 35-40 minutes and was pretty detailed; it helped me understand the job better. After finishing the VJT, I waited to hear back. About a week later, my recruiter texted. He wanted to do a confirmation call, but his phone wasn't working, so we did it over text. He asked the same questions from the first interview, and I answered. Then, he emailed me an offer letter and some onboarding paperwork to sign digitally. After that, I had to do a background check and drug screen. Overall, the process wasn't too hard, and the interview part was fast. The VJT was the longest part, but I liked it because I could show what I can do and learn about the company and the role.
- Are you willing and able to report to the office daily, if required by FIS or the client?
- Are you able to report to the office on your first day to get your equipment?
