I applied online through the company's careers page. After a few weeks, someone from the team reached out via email to set up a virtual interview. It was directly from a team member, not HR. We had an hour-long session, just me and two team members. It felt more like a chat than a formal interview, covering my past experiences, how I tackle problems, and my understanding of the technical aspects. It was efficient and direct, much like Exxon.

It was poorly coordinated. Sometimes it felt like the interviewer was just checking boxes instead of having a real talk. Some questions were repeated, and it felt a bit cold. I also didn't get a clear idea of what the day-to-day work in the Technical Development Program would be like. Basically, it felt more like a standard check than a real test of technical skills or potential.

I spoke with the Controller and the HR Director. They explained the role's responsibilities concerning chargebacks within the QGPC environment. This involves various petrochemical projects, including labor and material cross-billing on Oracle. The role requires managing multiple individuals in the same business setting, with diverse nationalities, all focused on deriving netbacks from NOCs and transferring them to IOCs.

Behavioral Case

The interview process uses real-life examples following the STAR methodology, conducted in both English and Spanish. It typically lasts about 60 minutes and involves two interviewers from the relevant area. After this, all candidates are evaluated and compared based on their STAR responses. The best candidates are then selected to proceed with an offer, which includes a pre-employment check (including a drug test).

  • Tell us about a time you had to deliver a result/product/work and your teammate didn't cooperate, what did you do?
