I went through about 5 interviews, at minimum. First, a recruiter call, then an interview with a manager from California, followed by three separate interviews with the current team members. They mentioned I was overqualified but indicated they don't interview for engineering roles. My overall impression was that this company has a very bureaucratic, slow hiring process that's highly political and based on who you know. They also seem to struggle with placing people in the right roles. Although they were polite, I felt they didn't want to offer me what I'm worth.

The hiring process was super smooth and organized. It went through four main steps: first, an HR screening, then a chat with the Hiring Manager, followed by a talk with the HRBP, and finally, a big last interview. Everyone I met was really nice and easy to talk to, making it feel like a real conversation. They seemed to care about both skills and if you'd fit in, which was pretty cool.

So I first got a call from a recruiter, then they set me up to talk to three other recruiters and two directors. I spoke with four people in total, including the director. After the interviews, they said they'd call me back. I didn't hear anything for two months. The interviews were really tough. I ended up interviewing with like five or six different people. I left a bunch of voicemails. They did hire me eventually, but that whole process took another four months.

My first interview was online, and it was supposed to have 4 managers, but only 3 showed up. At the start, one of them had to take a call, so we were left waiting. Meanwhile, time was passing, and they were late to start. When the absent manager returned, I had to rush through my answers because time was running out. I didn't even get to ask any questions. After almost a month, I got an invitation for another interview with the hiring manager and HR. I decided to accept, which I shouldn't have. On the interview day, neither of them showed up, and I was left with my camera on for over half an hour. I never heard back, which was a complete lack of respect for the candidate.
