First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edwards Lifesciences.
Sales Representative
After a brief call with the potential future manager, there was an in-person meeting with her and the Germany Director of the area. We had about a two-hour first interview. It was appreciative and very open. Afterwards, there were two more interviews, one with an HR employee from the Czech Republic and the HR Director of Edwards Germany. Both interviews were conducted in English.
- What is your ideal idea regarding dealing with and communicating with your respective supervisor?
Sales Representative
It was a long process, but it was for a good reason. This company really cares about finding the right people for this very technical sales role. They had 3 rounds of interviews before you even get to talk to the VP of Sales.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What are some of your weaknesses?
- How would you describe your sales approach?
Sales
I applied online and got an email about them wanting to talk, with suggested times. I picked one, and then heard nothing for a week. I followed up, and they asked for a different date. We then had a 30-min phone call that seemed to go really well. I sent a thank you email, and they replied saying the interview went well and they wanted a Zoom interview, offering more dates/times. I chose one, and then was ghosted for another week. I followed up again because the date had passed, and we finally had the Zoom interview. Both the recruiter and another employee said I did very well and they were happy with how it went. Then, another two weeks passed, and after I followed up again, they said they needed someone with more experience, even though I had more than what was listed in the job posting. Since then, I've applied to other roles where they initially wanted to interview me, but then ghosted me. I'm really disappointed with the recruitment process so far, especially not getting honest feedback on why I wasn't moved forward when everyone I spoke with said there were no concerns and they enjoyed talking to me. It would be helpful to know why I wasn't selected, especially since I do have the required experience. It hasn't been an enjoyable recruiting process!
- Could you describe your typical daily tasks?
- What do you see yourself achieving professionally in the next five years?
