First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edwards Lifesciences.
Financial Analyst
Applied for the role and was contacted by recruiter Jennifer to set up a phone screen. I picked a time and got a confirmation. The recruiter was 10 minutes late and didn't apologize. She started by asking, "Why Edwards? I know you can promote internally at your current employer." which was accusatory and irrelevant. She then talked about how great Edwards is and what the role entails before letting me talk about my experience. After I discussed my experience and fit, she wanted to set up an interview with the hiring manager. We picked a date and time, but I never got a confirmation or any communication, and she didn't reach out before or after the scheduled time. Very unprofessional. Avoid this company.
- What makes you want to join Edwards?
- Why Edwards? Considering you can get promoted internally at your current company.
Financial Analyst
I was really impressed with the company, its products, and culture. The first interview was a phone call, followed by an on-site interview. After that, I flew back to Irvine for more interviews. Only two people asked technical questions; the others were non-technical. Everyone made me feel comfortable, so I think it would be a great place to work.
- In simple terms, explain what SOX means to someone who isn't in finance.
Financial Analyst
Process takes forever, and finally after ages of rounds and interviews, no more than an automatic rejection msg. Looks like this company doesn’t realize what is the work market in here. We would get something close to the EMEA HQ i’d understand but it’s nothing comparable.
- Standard questions were asked, nothing special.
