Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edwards Lifesciences.
Intern
The interviewer was serious and straight to the point. A portfolio was expected for the interview, and the candidate was expected to present their projects clearly and concisely. The interviewer was looking for candidates with prior experience.
- Can you show me some projects you've done that use the skills needed for this internship?
Intern
There was one interview where they really focused on your past experience and how you fit in with the group. Make sure you know the Edwards Credo really well and are genuine throughout the whole thing. They live and breathe the credo and really care about the patients, and they'll see right through you if you're just pretending. Even if you don't have a ton of experience, if you're passionate about cardiovascular technology, have strong soft skills, and are eager to learn, you should be okay.
- What technical skills do you have that are your strongest?
Intern
I had one interview with a really hostile and horrid hiring manager. They didn't ask any personable questions and made no effort to get to know me. She immediately discredited my experience and made comments about my career, suggesting I should go back to school (I just finished my masters with a 4.0). This is for an internship position. I was ghosted after the interview. I don't recommend this company, they seem to lack empathy and personality.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Considering you have no experience in this field, how would you manage a marketing campaign for our specific products?
