I had a technical recruiter call where they just called me out of the blue, I didn't prepare for it at all but it surprisingly went well, it was more of an informative chat. Then there was a technical interview with the principal engineer, where they asked me a lot of questions about high performance computing, given the role I was interviewing for. I should have prepared better, focusing on my actual experience instead of trying to cover too much.

I got through the first two rounds, which were both technical. The first was more general, lasting about 45 minutes. A red flag was that they didn't seem to care about going over time. I tried to contact the recruiter between interviews for feedback but didn't get much, just a vague answer about the second interview. They said it would be a 45-minute walkthrough of a past project, but it ended up being 1.5 hours of mostly open coding in notes. The second interviewer was friendly but kept interrupting, which ultimately made me reconsider the company.

I interviewed about 6 months ago. The initial phone interview went really well. The first in-person interview was just okay, the interviewers were a bit stiff and boring. I got called for a second interview, and was super excited thinking this was it! But then this lady had no clue who I was, said she had just gotten my resume, and then told me halfway through that they were about to impose a hiring freeze. Honestly, she was kind of rude. Two days later, I got an email saying they went with another candidate, but the job posting stayed up. I'm pretty sure I was overqualified.

I scheduled an interview for Wednesday at 1:30 PM. When the scheduled time arrived, no one contacted me. I later discovered they had attempted to call on Monday at 11 AM. It seems they use outsourced recruiters from another country, and there was a mix-up with the timing. I tried to reach out for help via phone and email, but the branch I applied to was unresponsive. Additionally, because they utilize HireVue, there was no direct contact information available. This whole situation was quite disappointing.
