Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chase.
Finance Analyst
The interview process was straightforward and organized. It started with an online application, then a behavioral phone screening with HR. After that, I was invited to a virtual interview with a panel of analysts and managers. They focused on basic financial concepts, situational judgment, and my interest in finance. Overall, it was a smooth and professional experience.
- Can you explain how Chase generates revenue?
Bank Teller
They did two phone interviews and then an in person interview. The in-person was with two people. They mentioned they don’t really like hiring students because the schedule is made month to month and it’s a tricky thing they’d rather not deal with.
- What’s the difference between customer service and customer obsession?
- Tell me about a time you disagreed with management and how you handled it.
Bank Teller
I applied for the bank teller job, and pretty quickly got an email for a digital interview. It had about eight questions where I had to record myself answering. These were mostly about customer service stuff, like my background and skills for the job, how I've handled angry customers, my thoughts on technology and using it daily, if I've helped others with devices, my views on great customer service and examples of it, and a time I worked in a team. About a week after that, I got a phone call that was like a phone interview, and then they invited me for a one-on-one interview with two branch managers. After they asked me a bunch of questions, they offered me the job.
- Can you tell us what you know about Chase?
- Could you please tell us about yourself?
- Tell me about a time you delivered excellent customer service and what happened as a result.
