I was contacted by the hiring manager on Linkedin. I first spoke with a recruiter, and then the hiring manager. The interview seemed to go very well, and the hiring manager was quite impressed. He mentioned he wanted to move me to the onsite interview and that the recruiter would be in touch about the next steps. However, two weeks later, the recruiter went silent. I tried to reach the hiring manager, but received no response. I later saw that the position was closed, which means they hired someone else. It was a terrible experience because I received no feedback or update on my application. I wish they had provided an update instead of ghosting me.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through their whole interview process, which had seven interviews. They kept canceling interviews last minute and rescheduling, and then ghosted me. It's ironic because they talk about their core values and culture all the time, with each interview focusing on a specific value. But their actions don't match their words. When I asked for an update on their decision, I got no response. I've seen online that this is typical for them, and I just experienced it myself. They should at least send an update after taking up so much of a candidate's time instead of leaving them hanging.

The recruiter phone screen and the manager video interview went smoothly. There weren't any tricky questions, and both interviewers were quite pleasant. They both used AI tools to record their interview notes. I asked my recruiter to pass along a thank you note to the hiring manager (just forward it), but I didn't hear back even after reaching out twice. Two weeks later, I got a standard automated rejection email. Considering I took the time to interview with both the recruiter and the hiring manager, I was expecting at least an email with the decision from the recruiter, not just a generic rejection email.

The interview process was quite intensive, involving around 7 sessions with different people like the hiring manager and colleagues. It was a long process, about 6 hours total across all the meetings. Some parts needed preparation, others were more about fitting into the company culture and values. I really liked that the people I met were genuine and the company seems to truly live its values. A downside was not getting the role and no feedback was provided when I asked how I could improve. The recruiter just said they needed someone with more sales experience. It feels like if you're going to put candidates through such a long process, you should at least offer some constructive feedback when asked. Still, I'll keep an eye on future roles here because the interview process confirmed a lot of the good things about the culture.
