First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zillow.
Customer Care Representative
The interview process was fairly quick, taking about 2-3 weeks. It started with an initial chat with the recruiter, followed by another talk with the recruiter which was also a phone interview. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with the two hiring managers and then a phone interview with the director. They kept things very relaxed, so my casual outfit of a sweater dress, leggings, and boots seemed appropriate. I felt I performed well, but perhaps not well enough to be a good fit for them. Despite that, everyone I met was extremely friendly.
- What positive and negative feedback would your previous supervisor give about you?
Customer Support Representative
I had two phone calls. The first was with a recruiter who told me more about the job and checked if it was a good fit. The second was a formal interview. Then, I had an onsite interview that lasted about two hours. Four managers interviewed me. They were all really nice and asked general questions to get to know me and see if I'd be a good fit for the role. The whole thing was really fun! I got an offer about a week later!
- Can you describe your most technological experience?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about your short-term goals.
Customer Service Representative
I got an email the same day I applied online to set up an initial phone screening. The hiring manager then called me for another phone interview. The questions were pretty standard and not super hard, but the interviewer sounded like they were in a big empty room talking into the phone from far away. It was hard to understand them clearly because of the echo, making it tough to answer smoothly.
- All questions were pretty standard and expected.
