I applied for a Business Analyst role and had an interview that was supposed to be about 30 minutes long, conducted via Google Meet. The interviewer mentioned they weren't feeling great, which might have impacted how things went. They did say they liked my background in technical skills and project management. I felt like fewer questions were asked than usual, so I asked a bunch of questions about the job and the company to keep the conversation going. It felt a bit odd because at times it looked like the interviewer was looking at their phone, making it less engaging. Later, I got a generic rejection email from Workday, which didn't give me much feedback, which would have been nice. The overall process was simple, but the interview felt a bit strange.

The interview process was quite extensive and had several parts. It started with a one-way digital interview, then a chat with the recruiter, and finally an onsite visit. The onsite part was about two hours long. It included a tour of the lab with the hiring manager, and then I had a panel discussion with several team members from different departments. Everyone on the team was really nice and professional. The lab itself looked very well-equipped and organized. They asked a mix of behavioral and technical questions, and we also talked about my career aspirations and if I'd be a good fit for the role. It felt more detailed than I expected for a technician job, so it might be good for future candidates to be ready for longer talks with different people. The recruiter was very helpful and kept me updated. It would have been helpful if they had been clearer about how the interview would be structured and the timeline. All in all, it was a good and informative experience that gave me a good sense of the company and the team.

They emailed me to set up a first interview. It was virtual and I had to prep a task and presentation. The hiring manager was really nice, but the process was messy. They sent 2 different tasks so I had to double check which one was correct. Everything was shared via Google docs, so you could only open it if you had gmail. There wasn't a screening interview or any previous stage, so you end up spending a lot of time and effort on a task for a company you've never even talked to. Then I heard back weeks later with no feedback.

The recruitment began with a phone call, followed by an interview conducted either via video conference or in person, depending on availability. The response was typically expected by email within one to two weeks after the interview. Fortunately, I received feedback in just three days, thanks to a very attentive and supportive HR team and manager, which made the process reassuring and pleasant.
