Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Veolia.
Process Engineer
This is a site based role. It started virtually to go over the basics, then I had one site interview to tour the plant and meet the team for an in-person interview. I flew in from interstate for this.
- Can you describe your experience with Treatment Plant operations?
- What is your background with Reverse Osmosis Membranes?
Process Engineer
First, they asked some basic personality questions. Then, they wanted to hear about a time I struggled and how I solved it. They also asked for an example of working with someone difficult and how I handled it. After that, they inquired about my technical illiteracy and its relevance to the job.
- Can you share an instance of failure and success and how it led to a solution or downfall?
Process Engineer
I interviewed at their Minnetonka, MN facility in 2022 when they were still SUEZ WATER TECHNOLOGIES. I did one telephone interview, 2 video interviews and 1 onsite interviews with 4 people each. HR lady called me and left a voicemail that they would be calling me with an offer. Never heard anything since then. Glad I ended up somewhere else. It was painful they wasted my time through their bogus interview processes though.
- Can you manage engineering projects?
