Laboratory Technician
The interview process was quite extensive and had several parts. It started with a one-way digital interview, then a chat with the recruiter, and finally an onsite visit. The onsite part was about two hours long. It included a tour of the lab with the hiring manager, and then I had a panel discussion with several team members from different departments. Everyone on the team was really nice and professional. The lab itself looked very well-equipped and organized. They asked a mix of behavioral and technical questions, and we also talked about my career aspirations and if I'd be a good fit for the role. It felt more detailed than I expected for a technician job, so it might be good for future candidates to be ready for longer talks with different people. The recruiter was very helpful and kept me updated. It would have been helpful if they had been clearer about how the interview would be structured and the timeline. All in all, it was a good and informative experience that gave me a good sense of the company and the team.
- Were you asked about your long-term career aspirations and if you envision yourself staying in a laboratory setting for the long haul?
Chemical Technician
The process had 2 interviews, everything was very well organized, they were very friendly, I found the job interesting, but then I didn't receive any response, it was like ghosting.

Laboratory Technician
I applied online for a Laboratory Technician job at Veolia. The hiring manager was super late, like 35 minutes, and kept taking calls during the interview. The questions were pretty standard, and they showed me around the workspace. I didn't catch onto the red flags then and took the job. On day one, the hiring manager told me and another new hire he was leaving for another job and we never saw him again. He totally misrepresented stuff like turnover, overtime, and schedules. The other two techs and I all quit within the year.
- Can you tell me about your past laboratory experience and your knowledge of laboratory instruments?
