I had a phone interview where they asked about my experience and some behavioral questions. Then, I had another interview with the engineering managers. This one had a bit more technical stuff. We talked about reliability and how I work with my team and my previous projects.

The recruitment began with a phone call, followed by an interview conducted either via video conference or in person, depending on availability. The response was typically expected by email within one to two weeks after the interview. Fortunately, I received feedback in just three days, thanks to a very attentive and supportive HR team and manager, which made the process reassuring and pleasant.

My interview, which was a one-on-one conversation, took place in Hamburg regardless of which location you applied for. It lasted about 30-45 minutes, which meant an 8-hour round trip for me. The atmosphere was friendly, and I spoke with two HR representatives. They introduced the company, explained the responsibilities of the target position, and provided general information about the trainee program and its conditions. During the conversation, it quickly became clear that the program wasn't a good fit for my specific qualifications, which was also communicated. Unfortunately, this could have been seen from my CV, and I could have saved myself the day off work.
