The interview was a mix of technical and managerial. There were a total of 4 rounds, starting with an online assessment on HackerRank, followed by 2 technical rounds and 1 managerial round. The Online Assessment had two medium DSA questions and 6 git MCQs, it was time-bound and an eliminator. Round 1 focused on basics, DSA, deep JavaScript and Typescript, React, and web optimisation. It also included JS output questions on async programming. Round 2 involved discussing and then implementing a solution to a problem statement using React, with follow-up questions on design patterns. This round was about 1.5 hours. Round 3 was with a senior manager, focusing on past experience, project impact, and security questions like CSRF and XSS. The final HR Round was a 30-minute discussion about the motivation for joining and expectations.

The process was pretty fast. I applied on their site, and a recruiter hit me up a few days later. We chatted, mostly about my resume. Then, I had a call with an IT manager the next week to go over the role and how my experience fit. Finally, I met with an IT executive for more technical questions. I felt pretty good about it, but they had other candidates. The whole thing took about 3 weeks and was well-organized.

HR Harleen Kaur managed the recruitment process. The initial screening was on July 31st, '25, followed by the first round on August 4th, which I passed. HR told me the second round was set for August 6th. After that, I heard nothing from HR until August 14th, despite calling, emailing, and messaging. I contacted the second-round manager on LinkedIn on August 13th, and he said HR would update me. On August 14th, HR confirmed I passed round two and set up the third round, an in-person interview with the Finance Director for August 18th. After the third round, HR communication stopped. I followed up by phone, email, and message, but got no response. On August 29th, HR finally said feedback was positive, but the manager, Manender Johri, wanted to interview more candidates. As of September 18th, no update despite my follow-ups. I received an official email on August 23rd, '25, stating they'd chosen other candidates. The whole process was unprofessional and disrespectful of my time, lasting almost two months. They said I had positive feedback for all three rounds, so why the lack of decision? Keeping me in limbo for over a month after clearing rounds shows poor hiring ethics and communication.

This interview process was really frustrating and felt pretty unfair. After three rounds, the process suddenly shifted from the US team to the India team. My role was downgraded from Sr. Principal to Principal without any explanation. About a month later, HR asked me to interview with the Principal Designer on the same day she called. I didn't even have my laptop with me, but the interviewer did a portfolio review instead of a white boarding session. Overall, it left me with a very poor impression — especially disappointing for a company that builds products for human resources.
