I had a really bad experience, honestly -2 out of 10. The technical part was great, and the panel members were super experienced. But the HR team at UKG? Totally unprofessional, inexperienced, and just insensitive. I have to call out their attitude. It's wild that with so much experience, they don't even bother to listen to what a candidate expects. I get that companies have budgets and candidates have their own expectations, but at least end the conversation professionally. It's unfair that they hold a grudge because you didn't accept a low salary, and then they talk to you rudely and harshly. Companies should invest in upskilling their HRs just as much as their technical folks. The HR is the face of the company to the candidate, and they're giving a terrible impression!

It started with a written round that included programming questions on core Java and Selenium. Then, there were two Java programs and one Selenium program to complete. The next stage was a face-to-face interview, which in my case, was a panel of two senior leads. They covered Java from the beginning, automation testing, Selenium, and manual testing. They might ask you to write a Java program and then question you intensely about it. They really dig into your coding knowledge and might ask you to write code on paper. They also asked about my framework from scratch and any challenges I faced.

The interview process had two rounds. The first round was a technical screening that could last up to 2 hours. It had two sections, each with 30 multiple-choice questions. One section was about aptitude, and the other was purely C++. Each section had a 1-hour time limit. I finished this round in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The second round was a face-to-face technical interview. The interviewer was friendly and asked about my background, language preferences, and previous work over the last 3-4 years.
