First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UKG.
Sales Representative
This took about 3 months from the first recruiter chat, and it was a 7-8 step process, with multiple chats with the recruiter and leadership, from management up to VP. It ended with a final presentation. Pretty average for this kind of role.
- Can you discuss your past sales experience?
- What are your strategies for planning your sales territory?
- Please give a presentation.
Sales Leader
The interview process was very clean and efficient. I was recommended internally, so after a first interview with the internal recruiter, I had a phone call with the Hiring VP. We then met in Montreal over drinks. This ended up being a 3 hour discussion, and it didn't feel like an interview at all. That's when I knew this place would be my home for a long time. I then flew to New York to meet the Chief Sales Officer and was made an offer the following week. They didn't ask for references because they had asked about me with my internal former colleagues.
- Tell me about your personality.
- Describe how you handle certain situations.
- What is your approach to penetrating accounts?
Sales
The initial screening was conducted by a long-term employee, not from the hiring department. They reviewed my resume and then called. The questions asked didn't seem to align with the job description. The call ended unprofessionally without discussing my relevant background. This was surprising given Kronos's reputation. The screener, despite their tenure, didn't seem proficient. Perhaps the hiring department should handle initial screenings. I suspect many experienced candidates are lost this way. The screener also didn't create a welcoming atmosphere for new hires, leaning more towards promoting internal candidates.
- How do you differentiate yourself from existing employees?
