Ultimate Software has a very in depth interview process, which helps them ensure they are getting the best of the best. 1st step is talking with a Talent Specialist (recruiter) - they usually give you great tips on what to do in upcoming interviews. 2nd step is a Skype interview with a hiring manager. 3rd step is an exam. 4th step is a final interview, usually a panel interview in person. I applied online and got a call to start the interview process within 1 day, and at the end of the 1st and 2nd step - I knew where I stood and what the next step was. After the exam, it took about 1 hour to get an email that the I passed and to schedule the in person, panel interview. The 4th step is the only one where I didn't have an exact answer at the end of the process, but I heard back the very next day. :)

I was reached out to by a recruiter to schedule a phone interview. The recruiter call was about 20-25 mins, asking why I wanted to work for Ultimate Software and some customer service questions. After that, I was told I would meet with one of the Managers who flew in from Florida to discuss the role more. When I got to the face-to-face, another recruiter (Stephen) greeted me, was very welcoming, gave me good feedback on my resume, and offered tips for the interview. After this meeting, I was told the next steps would likely be an assessment and then a Skype interview. The assessment came three days later and included analytical questions, word comprehension, pattern detection, and basic math. I passed the assessment the next day and Stephen called me for more customer service questions before scheduling a Skype interview with two Department Managers. He also gave me more tips and critiqued my resume again. He was really supportive throughout the whole process. The Skype interview with the two managers was about 30 minutes and very relaxed. They seemed to be assessing if I was a good fit for Ultimate Software, which is a great company with strong values. After the Skype interview, I wasn't sure about the next steps. I emailed Stephen to say thanks and was told I'd get an update soon. I got a phone call a few hours later with a formal offer.

I sent in my application online and then got an email a few days after asking for a phone interview. The phone interview went really well and the recruiter was super nice. After that, I was given the choice between an in-person interview or a Skype interview, and I picked the in-person one. The interview itself was kinda short, only lasting about 15 minutes, which made me think they might have already picked someone else before I even got there (I saw on the sign-in sheet that 3 other people had already interviewed for the same job that day).
