A hiring leader reached out to me directly for a senior sales position. The initial parts of the interview process were well-organized and straightforward. Everyone I met was professional, and they clearly laid out what they expected from candidates. But after the final panel interview, communication really slowed down. They initially said things would move fast, but it ended up taking weeks for a final decision, with only minimal updates and no firm timeline. This long wait felt a bit off, especially since they seemed so decisive at the start. The job itself sounds great, and the people I spoke with were smart, but the radio silence after the last interview made it a bit tough. For senior roles, a more open and quicker process would be much better. The good parts were the early engagement from the hiring team, the interesting role, and the strong product. The bad parts were the really long delays after the last interview and the lack of a clear timeline for the decision.

Behavioral Technical

I had a 1:1 screening call then met 1:1 with a direct team member for a behavioral interview. After 2 weeks of silence, I was invited to interview with someone in Romania and had scheduled an early morning interview to account for the time difference. I waited on the Zoom call for 15 minutes but when no one showed, I emailed to confirm if they were still good to meet or if we needed to reschedule. The recruiter then cancelled the Zoom call while I was on it. After sending them another email saying I got the cancellation and would be happy to reschedule, they responded that they could no longer meet with me that day but I would hear from them with next steps. A week or so later, I received an email that they had filled the position.

I had a 30-minute call with the recruiter, and I came prepared. This company, like many others, is interested in AI. We had a good connection, which is key for Customer Success. The recruiter let me know I wouldn't be moving forward and gave some feedback. We discussed a lot, but they really wanted me to talk about their "AI opportunity," which felt a bit strange since AI is so new and I wouldn't know their specific plans. The recruiter seemed unprepared and didn't ask many questions, so I mostly led the conversation based on what I found in my research.

The interview process had 4 rounds. First was an Online Assessment with 3 questions (1 medium, 1 medium-hard, 1 hard) that took 2 hours. Getting through the OA was the main shortlist, not CG. Then came 3 offline rounds. Round 1 was technical, covering resume, DSA, CS fundamentals, and a comprehensive mix, lasting about 1 hour 10 mins. Round 2 was purely technical, a live coding session with one difficult DP-based question that needed heavy optimization. They wanted to see coding of all approaches from brute force to optimized DP, and especially how I debugged. Round 3 was with a Hiring Manager, a mix of technical and real-life scenario questions. I was randomly grouped with one of the HMs, and it was a very chill, supportive round focusing on questions about me.

  • Tell me about your resume and projects.
  • Describe your approach to basic DSA problems.
  • Solve a DSA coding question (easy to medium).
