First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UiPath.
Product Manager
Recruiter was nice and interviews were set up fast and everyone was on time. Salary info was misleading; the posting said X-Y range but they offered X (the low end). Interviewers were professional but not super friendly, except one guy from Romania. Mostly standard PM behavioral questions, but they asked a lot of hypotheticals like "How would you approach situation Y?", which were very specific to their internal politics. I tried to answer with my own examples rather than just saying what I'd do. Felt like they were just going through the motions and it made sense when they said they hired internally.
- Can you explain what RPA is in your own words?
- Given you'd be supporting multiple teams with conflicting priorities, how would you manage that situation?
Product Manager
So, I got an email saying I didn't pass the CV screening, but then I got an automated technical test. I thought it might have been sent by mistake, but I did it anyway and passed, which led to an interview. The interview went well, and I was invited for 4 more interviews. They said I'd hear back soon, but it's been a month, and I haven't, even after reaching out. Interestingly, I noticed they've implemented some of the ideas I shared in the interview tests.
- What modifications would you suggest for our product?
Product Manager
I interviewed for a Product Manager role at UiPath and found the process really well-structured and insightful. The interview really focused on my experience in managing the product lifecycle, defining roadmaps, and how I work with teams like engineering and design. They asked for examples of successfully delivering products and managing stakeholder expectations, along with questions about prioritization frameworks and strategy. Having a strong understanding of UiPath's platform and how it solves business challenges was definitely an advantage. Overall, they seemed to value communication, leadership, and a customer-centric mindset.
- What's your approach to prioritizing roadmap features when stakeholders have conflicting needs?
- Tell me about a time you successfully launched a product or feature.
- How did you overcome challenges during a product launch?
