Controls Engineer
I applied for a Controls Engineer role at the Liberty North Carolina EV Plant. It began with a recruiter phone call, then a panel interview via Microsoft Teams. The panel interview was good and I thought I was a strong candidate, but I got rejected by an automated email about 3 months later. The recruiter didn't communicate much, leaving me unsure about my status or their interest throughout the hiring process. I was told they liked my interview and I'd get updates soon, but heard nothing for about 2 months until the rejection email. This whole experience left me confused. The interview itself was a positive experience, focusing on technical and critical thinking skills and discussing my resume. More direct communication from the recruiter, as she had initially suggested, would have improved the experience. While the interview was good, the poor communication made it hard to know where I stood and lessened an otherwise strong candidate experience.
- How do you approach troubleshooting a system outage and interpreting software logs? Also, what monitoring processes would you implement for such situations?
Product Designer
So I interviewed for a contract role. The interview process itself was straightforward and not too intense, involving three interviews. They extended an offer in writing, detailing the terms. However, the next day, just as I was about to accept, they withdrew the offer. Apparently, they believed they had two positions available, but it turned out there was only one. They then made me wait nearly a week before formally rejecting me. This level of unprofessionalism and disrespect, offering a position only to rescind it, is something I've never encountered. It suggests disorganization within the company, so I suppose it's for the best that I didn't end up there.

Sales Associate
I got the job through Indeed and a sales manager contacted me to set up an interview. My first interview was supposed to be an hour, but I mostly waited around. It sounded promising though. The manager wanted to meet the main decision-maker, so I had a second interview. After that one, they offered me the job, which I was happy about. I turned down other jobs because I thought this one was good with good commission. I went in a third time to do paperwork and set up orientation for the next week. They also told me to call The Cole Group for a background check, which was quick. But then on Tuesday, the day of orientation, about 15 minutes before I was supposed to start, I got a text saying the job 'wasn't going to work anymore.' They didn't explain why. I tried to reach out, but they told me to call the recruiter, who never answered or called back. Camelback Toyota wasted over two weeks of my time, plus gas and driving. It was super unprofessional and disappointing, especially from a company linked to Berkshire Hathaway.

Sales Assistant
The interview went exceptionally well and I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. The interviewer was friendly, professional, and made sure to create a comfortable environment where I could express myself freely. The questions were thought-provoking, allowing me to showcase my skills and experiences effectively. I appreciated the opportunity to discuss my qualifications in-depth and learn more about the company's values and culture. Overall, it was a positive and rewarding experience that left me excited about the potential opportunity.
