& Process

The interview will start with questions designed to gauge your experiences in school and the skills you gained from them. You might interview with either a recruiter or members of the team you're applying to, and it's likely you'll be speaking with a few people.

They quickly called me for a phone interview and then, within 24 hours, rushed me into an in-person interview. It was over an hour long with 4 people, including 2 recruiters and 2 hiring managers. I sent a thank you note right after, expressing my interest in the College Internship. I followed up with an email a week later, but haven't heard back, and it's been over three weeks since my interview. I was dressed professionally and answered all their behavioral questions appropriately. It's quite disappointing that Toyota, known for its excellent customer service, didn't offer me any customer service in return.

I found out about this co-op/internship at Toyota through my university and went for it. Even though I was younger than expected (19 and in undergrad), I still got an interview. The first interview was a quick 15-minute phone call where they asked 3 simple behavioral STAR questions: about a difficult decision I made, why I wanted to work at Toyota, and a time I took a leadership role. The interviewer was nice but kept forgetting my major and asking if I was getting a PhD. They scheduled a second interview. The second phone interview had 3 managers. They introduced themselves and their work. The whole interview was me explaining my resume in detail and lasted about an hour and a half. Although I didn't get the position for that semester, they offered me a spot for the next, which I declined.
