I got the job through Indeed and a sales manager contacted me to set up an interview. My first interview was supposed to be an hour, but I mostly waited around. It sounded promising though. The manager wanted to meet the main decision-maker, so I had a second interview. After that one, they offered me the job, which I was happy about. I turned down other jobs because I thought this one was good with good commission. I went in a third time to do paperwork and set up orientation for the next week. They also told me to call The Cole Group for a background check, which was quick. But then on Tuesday, the day of orientation, about 15 minutes before I was supposed to start, I got a text saying the job 'wasn't going to work anymore.' They didn't explain why. I tried to reach out, but they told me to call the recruiter, who never answered or called back. Camelback Toyota wasted over two weeks of my time, plus gas and driving. It was super unprofessional and disappointing, especially from a company linked to Berkshire Hathaway.

The interview process is lengthy. You'll need to go to the office and complete an application for Toyota. It's important to follow up with them regularly because they can be forgetful. The interview itself was enjoyable, and the managers were great. Upon hiring, you'll complete paperwork, undergo a drug test, and a background check. You'll also need to obtain a sales license, which they will facilitate for you and send to the DMV. If you have a poor driving record or lack a license, you won't be hired. Training lasts between 2 to 5 weeks, depending on your prior experience in the business. After that, you'll be on your way to becoming a car salesperson! Good luck.

You had a chat with the interviewer and they asked about your previous jobs and what you hoped to get out of this role. It was a really chill and comfortable chat. Then, you met with the General Manager. Everyone there was super easy to talk to, no pressure at all. It felt more like hanging out and having lunch with a new friend.
