The interview process kicks off with a chat with HR to see if you're a good personality fit. After that, you'll have a user interview with a manager who'll check your tech skills and knowledge for the job. If you ace those, you'll get a formal offer with all the details on pay and benefits. Just a heads-up, this whole thing can take a while, sometimes weeks or even months, because there are quite a few steps involved.

I joined the company as a fresh grad 4 years back. The process included an HR call, a Hackerrank medium challenge, and then 3 user interviews. The first user interview was a live coding session, the second focused on technical knowledge, and the third assessed cultural fit. It was a pretty good experience overall, with the HR team being responsive and helpful. The offer wasn't the best though; I suspect they lowballed me due to my lack of prior IT company experience and non-IT academic background.

So, the recruiter was from Tiktok cuz Tokopedia was just acquired by them, and they were hiring for Tokopedia. First, there was an HR interview, where we talked about my previous jobs, my tech skills, and what salary I was looking for. Then, I had a technical interview on Hackerrank that was all about SQL. After that, there was a user interview where they asked about my past experience and wanted me to do an analysis simulation.

Coding

I got to the stage of interviewing with the EM, but they ghosted me for over a month. After that, I asked the HR and they finally sent a rejected email. Even though I passed all the tests, including the coding test which went very smoothly, it was just bad luck. Either they found a super talent or they don't need the position anymore.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • A Hackerrank test with mid-level questions
  • A call with HR
  • An interview with the User where I had to do live coding
