Software Engineer
I got to the stage of interviewing with the EM, but they ghosted me for over a month. After that, I asked the HR and they finally sent a rejected email. Even though I passed all the tests, including the coding test which went very smoothly, it was just bad luck. Either they found a super talent or they don't need the position anymore.
- A Hackerrank test with mid-level questions
- A call with HR
- An interview with the User where I had to do live coding
Software Engineer
The whole thing might take about 1.5 months. The recruiter was helpful the whole time, but I didn't get any feedback after a month of interviews. I got this role through a referral. We had 6 rounds: first an HR chat, then a JS coding round, followed by a JS and ReactJS concepts round. After that, there was a take-home assignment due in a week. Then a Manager Round where we talked a lot about my projects, web security, and React best practices. Lastly, a culture fit round.
- A coding question focusing on JS currying.
- What are closures in JavaScript?
- Is JavaScript single-threaded or multi-threaded?
Software Engineer
So, to start, I had a mini project to complete. Once I submitted that, I got an email about whether I passed and what the next step would be. HR always lets you know if you're moving on to the next stage. After the project, there were several interviews: first, an HR Interview, then a 1st User Interview focusing on Technical Skills & Knowledge, followed by a 2nd User Interview about Web Knowledge & Practices, and finally, a 3rd User Interview for Cultural & Behavioral fit. They let me know the outcome of each round within 1-4 days. After all that, HR confirmed that the offer letter was being sent.
- Discuss the fundamentals of JavaScript, CSS, and React.
- Explain your understanding of web knowledge and best practices, specifically regarding security, performance, server-side rendering (SSR), and client-side rendering (CSR).
