It was a two-stage interview process. First, there was a psychometric test, and then an interview with two people from the department, one junior and one lead. They asked really simple questions about what I knew about SEI and my relevant experience or university work.

It felt pretty relaxed. There were about 10 of us, and the interviews were done in stages with other analysts and managers. The questions ranged from typical interview questions to more laid-back questions about personal interests.

The interview process involved 5 interviews: a Recruiter screen, followed by interviews with the Hiring Manager, a Junior Team Member, a Senior Team Member, and finally the Department Lead. Each interview, except for the initial recruiter call, lasted about 30-45 minutes and was conducted virtually. They provided good insights into the role and the company culture. The interviews were a mix of behavioral questions and hypothetical scenarios, but also allowed ample time for me to ask questions, making it feel like a mutual evaluation. They seemed primarily focused on assessing team fit. The entire process spanned 3 weeks, and they were flexible with scheduling. I received an offer a few days after the last interview.

First, a recruiter called, then I spoke with the hiring manager, and finally, there was a team fit/more technical interview. The recruiter call covered my motivations for wanting the job and my overall fit. The manager interview went deeper into my experience and skills, and also asked why I was interested in the role. The team fit interview involved more technical questions.
