Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SEI Investments.
Senior Program Manager
I went through several interview rounds with people from both within and outside the tech organization. The interview panel included members from operations, technology, and sales teams. The questions were quite varied and sometimes covered topics I didn't expect for a technology program manager role. Overall, it felt a bit disorganized.
- Tell me about a time you managed projects without direct authority over resources.
Program Manager
The first round focused on what you bring to the table, what you are passionate about, and what skillsets you have. The second round was more on why you want to leave when our culture and compensation is the same as your current org. The interviewer seemed more interested in knowing why you are leaving the current company rather than evaluating if you would be a good fit for the position.
- Can you tell me why you're looking to leave your current role?
- What are you passionate about?
- What skills do you possess?
Associate Program Manager
The first interview involves a panel of 3 people, consisting of 2 associates in the program and 1 employee who has been with the company for 2 years. The final interview also has a panel of 3, made up of the Director of the department and two of their direct reports.
- What makes you willing to relocate?
