It was an all behavioral interview, with 'tell me about a time when...' style questions. Nothing too challenging, quite straightforward. They seemed to be assessing basic reasoning skills.
- Describe a situation where you had to de-escalate it.

You'll meet with around 10-15 people who currently work there. There will be several interview rounds, including phone, virtual, and in-person. Make sure to prepare questions for them and do your homework on the company and the job. The interviewers enjoy sharing their own experiences, so having a lot of questions is a good strategy.
- Tell me about your finance background.
Analyst
After some initial confusion and speaking with two HR reps, they were really set on finding me a spot at the company and set up interviews in three different departments. They kept saying they wanted me there, but since my wife works in one of the departments they were considering, I had to interview for roles that neither of us were sure I was qualified for. It was a bit of a hassle because it wasn't just about not being on her team, but I couldn't even be in the same department. My interviews themselves went okay, and each had a different style. The first two departments had two interviewers back-to-back, asking pretty much the same things. Both of those departments mentioned their boss wanted to be there but couldn't make it. The third department had a group interview with three senior people in the role I'd be doing, including the person I'd potentially replace, plus their boss.
- What are the differences and similarities between qualitative and quantitative thinking, and which approach is more suitable for the role?
