Went through a few rounds and seemed okay individually, but after the third round, I was randomly ghosted. I reached out to the recruiter twice over a month to find out the status, but nothing. It's a shame because the company talks about using AI for customers, but they can't even send a rejection email. I'd pass on them. Based on other interviews, this seems common, and I suspect they're just trying to get info on current market processes.

So after getting shortlisted, the first thing was a written test, it had like 20 questions covering DBMS, OS, and networking stuff. Then there was a general technical interview, followed by a second technical interview. The last round was with HR. They announced who got selected the same day.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a 6-month interview process with Riverbed for a Sr PMM role, but I ended up declining their offer. The day of my final round interview with a VP, the company was sold to a new PE firm. They said it was 'business as usual,' but a week later, there was a hiring freeze. They wanted to offer me the job but had to wait for the freeze to end. Two months later, I saw a new Sr PMM role and contacted HR. They said the old role was approved but wanted me to re-interview. During the re-interview, the interim C exec and VP really scrutinized my career. I left feeling unsure, and they questioned my domain experience, which hadn't been an issue before. The HR person laid off during the process was replaced by a new one. The offer stage was surprising: the new HR person told me the role was downgraded to PMM (which I hadn't heard before) and the salary was much lower than discussed. It felt like a bait and switch.

Technical Coding Behavioral

It started with a recruiter reaching out and asking about salary. Then a 1-hour interview round was scheduled. The interviewer seemed inexperienced, not phrasing questions well. The first question was a generic scenario about traffic dropping on a LAN network. I tried to answer using the TCP/IP model, but the interviewer didn't seem familiar with the layers and mumbled without direction, contradicting himself about routing and IPsec. The second question was a coding question that the interviewer unnecessarily complicated. Despite my attempts to clarify, he told me to just code. I provided a brute force solution and was about to present a more efficient one when he stopped me, saying he was satisfied, indicating a lack of knowledge in deeper coding concepts. The call ended after an hour. I was disappointed with the interviewer but expected another round. The HR never followed up as promised. Overall, a very poor interview style and inexperienced interviewer with no detailed feedback, needing much improvement.
