The interviewers were nice but the follow up and communication was bad. It took 2 months between interviews, which is too long nowadays, and there were too many interviews without structure. After 6 phone interviews, a strange online assessment asking 'Why do you think people keep Tropical fish?', and an onsite meeting, they still hadn't decided. When I pressed them, they said they weren't interested anymore. They should be more upfront if they're not interested, especially since I put a lot of effort into preparing and learning about the company. It feels like a waste of time now.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Got a call from a recruiter, it was quick and to the point, asking general stuff like travel and office work. They said I was a 'good fit' and sent my resume to the hiring manager. A few days later, I had a phone call with the hiring manager, which went well. He asked about my sales performance, like hitting quotas, if I'm a hunter or farmer (always hunter!), and teamwork. Then I was invited to the San Francisco office to meet the team (Channel manager, SE, and hiring manager again). The chats with the Channel Manager and SE went fine, they said they'd recommend me. But the interview with the hiring manager didn't go great. I felt he had another motive. He grilled me on handling different situations, making it clear he wanted someone for complex, long sales cycles with big companies. At the end, when I tried to close, he said he wanted someone with a 'transactional' sales background, the total opposite of his questions. Felt like a bait-and-switch. No feedback or follow-up afterward, which was pretty unprofessional.

Went through 5 stages. First was a recruiter call where they gave a company presentation and I gave a candidate presentation to see if it was a good fit. Then I had a Chally assessment. After that, it was a hiring manager/director interview to review my skills and experience for the role. Next, there was a panel interview with a company presentation and roundtable questions. Finally, a VP interview with a final presentation.
