Submitted an online application via the website on Day 1. Day 2, had a video interview with HireVue. Finished the VI on Day 5, which included 5 behavioral questions and 2 game tests. Received notification from HR on Day 10 about proceeding to the next round. Had interviews 1 and 2 on Day 13. Was rejected on Day 20. For an internship, the process felt lengthy. A complex video interview (VI) process is uncommon for internships, more typical for full-time roles. The job description was quite generic, suggesting the role might be more supportive or administrative with limited learning opportunities. The manager seemed uninterested during the online interview, even though the formal process continued. On the plus side, the HR team was very friendly and kept me informed at each stage. They let me know I was rejected because another candidate accepted the offer.

Behavioral Technical

First I did a psychometric test and a logic assessment, and then an interview with HR. The interview was recorded, and I had three tries. Some questions were about my background and experiences I thought were important to mention. A solution for when I had an experience where there was a lack of information and some difficulties in the project. Experience with teamwork and what I thought about diversity and inclusion. These questions were asked, and I needed to use a camera and microphone to answer them, about 3 minutes for each question.

Technical Coding

I applied for the Software Technologist (C++ Technology) role at Philips and got shortlisted. The first interview round went really well; I answered all the questions and solved the coding problems. It was a great interview experience, one of the best. But after that, there's been no communication from the hiring team. I've tried calling and emailing HR multiple times, but no one responded. My application status is still 'Under Business Review' after a long time. It's a bummer that candidates aren't told the outcome. If they're not moving forward, a quick heads-up would be way more professional. This silence is confusing. I always thought highly of Philips and wanted to work there, but this lack of clear communication has really changed my view.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Interviewer asked many questions regarding software development and programming, he asked to create a template for stock market application, where data type could be anything while creating object.
  • The interviewer asked me to design a class that can accept any data type and create an object for it.
  • Additionally, questions were asked about multiple data structures and algorithms.

Behavioral Other

There were 3 stages to the interview, and they were all done online. The first part was looking at my CV and doing some kind of gamified human check. Then, the second stage was an online chat with the department manager. The final stage was with the global department manager. After that last interview, I didn't hear back about the results because the coordination between the people handling the hiring wasn't smooth, even though they were going to offer me the position.

  • Can you describe a time when you felt integrity, safety, and honesty were crucial?
  • What motivated you to apply for this specific role?
