I applied for the Software Technologist (C++ Technology) role at Philips and got shortlisted. The first interview round went really well; I answered all the questions and solved the coding problems. It was a great interview experience, one of the best. But after that, there's been no communication from the hiring team. I've tried calling and emailing HR multiple times, but no one responded. My application status is still 'Under Business Review' after a long time. It's a bummer that candidates aren't told the outcome. If they're not moving forward, a quick heads-up would be way more professional. This silence is confusing. I always thought highly of Philips and wanted to work there, but this lack of clear communication has really changed my view.

So, to get a job at Philips, you'll go through a few steps. First, you apply online, and they look at your resume to see if you're a good fit. Sometimes, they might send you online tests, like ones for thinking skills, personality, or technical stuff depending on the job. Then, you'll probably have a first chat with a recruiter over the phone or video, talking about your background, why you want to work there, and salary. After that, you'll likely have interviews with the hiring manager and maybe others on the team. This is where they dig into your technical skills, how you've handled situations in the past using STAR, and maybe give you a problem to solve. For some jobs, there might be a final round with higher-ups, or a virtual 'on-site' to check if you fit the company vibe. Finally, if all goes well, you get an offer and go through background checks and then onboarding.

First, there's a basic test to check your coding and CS knowledge. It includes 1-2 coding problems and multiple-choice questions on DSA, OS, DBMS, OOPs, CN, C Programming, and aptitude. Next, an L1 Discussion checks your basic CS concepts and coding skills, covering DSA, OS, DBMS, OOPs, CN, and simple coding problems. Then, the Manager Round digs deeper into your technical depth, project experience, and communication. You'll talk about your projects, solve a linked list problem, and answer in-depth technical questions on DSA, OS, DBMS, OOPs, and CN. They'll also test your communication skills. Finally, the HR Round assesses your cultural fit, interpersonal skills, and career aspirations, asking about your background, goals, and why you want to join, plus discussing your resume and teamwork abilities.
