Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Philips.
Marketing
So first we look at your resume, then there's like a technical test. If you pass that, you go to a panel interview where we ask technical and behavioral questions. After that, we give you a case study to do. Finally, you meet with leadership to see if you fit our values. We want to see good communication, your skills, and if you're a good cultural fit.
- Have you worked in marketing before?
Marketing
The process was very efficient and transparent. First, an interview with a Talent Acquisition partner, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. The questions focused on my skills and experience, and they provided a lot of details about the company (specifically that the domestic appliances part of the business won't be with Philips much longer), the role, and expectations. They were also clear about the seniority of the role and the expected compensation. I even got a call back from HR/TA to explain why they chose another candidate, which is rare and worth noting. Overall, it was a really good experience.
- How comfortable are you with ambiguity?
Marketing Trainee
Had a first round phone interview for the Marketing Trainee role. The recruiter mentioned the subsequent stages would be in-person meetings, an assessment, an assessment day, and then potentially an offer. The HR person on the phone was alright and explained it was just a phone screen initially. They said I'd hear back within 20 days if I moved forward. The whole process seems okay, but it just takes a really long time.
- Can you describe your involvement in a project?
