The interview process was really long and at times felt like it dragged on longer than it needed to. Looking back, I understand why others have shared similar negative feedback, and sadly, I have to join them. I did meet some really great people, especially within the engineering leadership team. The system design part was pretty good, felt well-organized, practical, and what you'd expect for the job. But, the roleplay section was a big letdown. I was given four different situations, and apparently, I didn't do well in one of them, which is why I didn't get the offer. The problem is that the situation itself was kind of vague and not clearly laid out, making it tough to respond in a realistic or grounded way. What was more worrying was that it seemed like the decision was based a lot on what one interviewer thought, without really checking with others or making sure they were on the same page. It felt a bit like it was decided beforehand and judged too narrowly. It came across like the interviewer was just looking for people exactly like her, which over time could be a problem for the company because it limits the variety of thinking and leadership styles.

The hiring process felt unfair and didn't really test my sales abilities. Role-playing isn't a good way to see if someone can sell, especially when the interviewer in the third round couldn't even act like a customer. Plus, they were wrong about what topics would be covered in the second and third interviews. In the second interview, they criticized my practical exercise unfairly and questioned my skills unprofessionally. The third interview had another practical exercise, even though they said it would just be about my motivation and strategy. The conditions weren't good for me to show what I could do. The feedback on the practical exercise in the third interview seemed the same as the second, like they'd already made up their mind. I didn't get a real chance to prove myself. Only the first and fourth interviews, which were about cultural fit, were okay. I felt my time was wasted and I won't apply here again or recommend it to others.

The first step was a call with a recruiter, who was really nice and gave me some pointers on how to get ready. Before the next interview, I had to do a written test. After that, I had an in-person interview with two SDR managers, and we did a cold-call role-play. It was a really good and positive chat. Right after that, I spoke with a senior staff member about company values and stuff. They asked me about what motivates me and my personal values. The last part was a short call with an SDR manager where I talked about why I'm interested in sales.

Coding Technical

This was hands down the worst interview I've ever had. The first technical test was okay, just some basic questions. The second test was supposed to be a screen-share coding challenge. When I got there, the interviewer asked to see an API I had prepared, which I didn't have. The email confirming the test didn't instruct me to set anything up beforehand, and I checked my spam folder but received nothing, so I had no foundation to build upon. The interviewer then rushed the test and pressured me to make an API, but kept saying, 'Oh, don't actually make the file structure and don't worry about interfaces, etc., just make it functional.' I considered leaving the interview, but since someone referred me, I didn't want to make them look bad. Despite being rushed, I finished the API and explained my preferred method for doing it. The response was, 'The code structure could have been better organized,' and I was rejected. Obviously, it could have been better organized, but he told me to just make it functional because we don't have time. This is a terrible way to interview. If the interview isn't prepared, then reschedule and allow me to build something robust; don't decide to rush it.
