Recruiter
My interview process experience was okay. The initial recruiter and hiring manager calls were standard and professional. But the sourcing exercise wasn't great. They had me build Boolean strings and source full stack engineers live. The confusing part was that when I found good candidates, they said they were too expensive, which is a misalignment. It would be better to state salary ranges upfront if budget is tight so the exercise is fair. The sourcing approach also felt old-fashioned. Today's tech sourcing is competitive and uses multiple channels, especially against bigger companies. This process seemed stuck on LinkedIn, with no real interest in other platforms. This makes it hard to get top talent. My advice is to clarify role scope, seniority, budget, and sourcing methods early on to save time for everyone.
- How would you define a great engineer?
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
I felt really comfortable and got a deeper understanding of the company and the role. I had the chance to explain my background and ask questions, and I got feedback very quickly. I was pleased with the interview and how the process went.

Recruiter
We started with an initial phone interview, then there was a video call with the hiring manager. After that, I had a video call with the COO. The next steps were in person interviews, one with the hiring manager, then another with the COO, and finally one more in person interview with another person from the business side (who turned out to be the TL for Customer Care).
- What research have you done on TravelPerk, and can you tell me about the company?
- What are your aspirations for your career?
- Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?
