So first up, we had this group assessment centre thing, with two tasks where we all had to work together. Then, there were individual interviews. They wanted to see how well we communicate, solve problems, and if we've got the right skills for the job. They also looked at teamwork, how we adapt, our leadership potential, and if we can think straight when things get stressful.

Technical Presentation

I had one online interview with the team based in Amsterdam. The whole process after that felt long and a bit all over the place. There were definitely times where it seemed like internal communication wasn't the best, which made things a bit confusing and didn't give me the most confidence about how things work internally. Also, I still wasn't totally clear on what the role actually involved or what I'd be doing, even after trying to get more info.

I was contacted by the recruiter and then had an onsite interview, no virtual meetings. When I arrived, the receptionist couldn't find the hiring manager due to a name similarity, and the recruiter wasn't answering calls. After a 1.5-hour wait, the hiring manager appeared. What really bothered me was their lack of follow-up after saying they'd respond in a couple of weeks. They ignored my request for feedback, which reflects poorly on their ethics. I took a day off and traveled for the interview, but they didn't even send a rejection email.

This was the initial HR round. The communication was really bad. I had to send multiple emails to get the interview link. After the interview, I didn't hear back from HR for weeks, even after sending a reminder email two weeks later. I found out my application status on the portal and saw I was no longer being considered. Really disappointed with how my application was managed. Communication really needs to get better.
