Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nissan.
Marketing Trainee
Applied in September, the process started April 20. 1. Phone interview in local language by Recruitment Company. 2. SHL test in their office with 20+ other candidates, numerical SHL test. 3. F-t-f interview with Nissan's HR at the Saint-Petersburg factory. Questions about Nissan, the auto market, and why marketing. 4. Relocated to Moscow's Assessment Center for a group task (which I think we failed) and 3 individual tasks. Took place July 2, passed interview April 24. 5. Final interview with 3 people, stressful with competency questions, questions about hobbies, previous job, favorite book, economy situation, and expectations. Interviewers were professional and loved Nissan. Failed because I didn't show the right attitude and was too nervous. Main advice: don't stress, stay calm, show motivation.
- Why are we asking you these specific questions?
- What led to you not passing your previous final interview?
Marketing Trainee
I got my CV to Nissan through an employee, then I had one interview over skype with the hiring manager. We talked about my interests and what we both expected. He told me what the job needed, but it wasn't very clear. Some other people I know also had an HR interview, so they had 2 interviews. My interview was about 45 minutes.
- Could you provide the number of cars sold early in Europe?
Marketing
So first there was like a quick call to go over my background and resume, and if that went well, I had a video call with the Marketing Manager. Then, the final step was an in-person interview with The Head of Marketing.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Do you think you'd be a good fit for the team based on your personality?
