User Acquisition Manager
The hiring process was pretty quick and smooth. It kicked off with a nice chat with HR to see if I'd be a good fit culturally and professionally, and also to gauge my motivation. Then, there was a take-home assignment that was both tough and engaging, testing my analytical abilities, creativity, and how well I could analyze data and present strategic insights. After that, I interviewed with a Team Lead and a Group Lead. These chats focused on job-specific skills and included some logic problems and questions about KPIs. A separate HR interview followed to make sure I aligned with the company's values and the team's vibe. Finally, I met with a VP who talked about the team's work and overall dynamics. Everyone involved tried hard to make the interviews comfortable and less stressful. The recruitment team was super helpful, giving feedback the same day or the next morning and were always available to answer questions.
- Could you elaborate on different KPIs and what they signify regarding campaign effectiveness?
- What is the underlying significance of various KPIs?
- Describe situations where KPIs are used to assess campaign performance.
Delivery Manager
The interview process started with an online meeting with the hiring manager to discuss my background, experience, and how I work. Then, I had an on-site interview with the hiring manager and the studio R&D manager. This part was mostly behavioral and experience-focused, covering topics like managing team issues, speeding up project schedules, dealing with feedback, and what my performance is like according to managers. Following the interviews, I was given a take-home task to break down the steps for a new game level, which seemed like a good way to show how I think and manage delivery. Overall, the process felt clear, respectful, and relevant to the job, with a good mix of personal, management, and practical elements.
- Can you describe how you manage challenges within a team?
- What are your strategies for reducing project timelines?
- Tell me about your process for receiving and implementing feedback.
User Acquisition Manager
I was reached through LinkedIn, they asked me if I wanted to apply for an interview. Very quick process, they call you back quickly (I mostly got a reply the following day). I will mention that the process is very long, so it sucks if you don't get an offer. It took a lot of studying for the interviews and driving all the way to Tel Aviv for 4 interviews overall. The process has 7 steps: 1) phone call with HR - general questions about you and the job 2) Home test - aprox 2 hours. First 10 minutes you see graphs with thing like ROI, dep rate, spend etc. you need to decide which campaign is better. Then you have 1.5 hours to come up with a storyboard for an ad. 3) Team leader interview - general talk about you, then you do some math questions on the whiteboard (percentages and then a question with marketing terms CPI, retention, CTR, CVR, ROI, etc. 4) HR interview - approx 1 hour questions about you, how you handle working in a team, feedback that you've received and agree/ didn't agree with, you last job and why you left, challenges etc. 5) Group lead interview - 15 minutes talking in general about you, then again you need to solve things on a whiteboard: which campaign is better, and then explaining reasons why a game's CPI has raised over 3 months based on different countries Unfortunately I did not continue to the next 2 levels which include: 6) interview with VP marketing, 7) Recommendations Good luck!
- What feedback did you receive that you agreed with?
- What feedback did you not agree with?
- Why did you leave your last job?
User Acquisition Manager
The interview process began with an HR phone call where I was asked basic questions like 'Tell me about yourself' and 'What is your motivation for the role?'. Following that, I was given a take-home assignment involving data from various campaigns and KPIs (revenue, expenses, impressions, clicks, CPC, IPM, etc.). The assignment had three parts. Part one required me to identify the best campaign and justify my choice, including discussing the limitations of my conclusion. It also involved grouping campaigns by country using Pivot tables and extracting data, which was straightforward but time-constrained. Part two, with a strict 3-minute limit, asked about my experience with AI and its future role in my job. Part three involved a video submission about myself. After submitting the test, I was invited to an interview with a staff member. This interview focused on analytical abilities, including percentage calculations and questions about grammar and time concepts. It also required understanding concepts from the test, like the relationship between CTR and CVR and other KPI relationships.
- Can you tell us which campaign performed best and explain your reasoning?
- What are the limitations of your conclusion about the best performing campaign?
