First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Manhattan Associates.
Software Implementation Consultant
I applied in August and they got back to me with an interview invite in November. It took a month and half after my last round for them to reject me. There are 2 rounds, both behavioral. The second round was a 45 minute interview, a 15 minute presentation about one of their products, and a final 45 minute interview.
- Can you describe how you would implement a parking app for a university?
- What approach would you take to build an elevator for a 100 floor building?
Software Analyst
I met the recruiter at the Georgia Tech career fair, and they were really nice and helpful. We had a good initial chat, and they laid out the company's mission and background well. Later, they texted me about an open Software Analyst role, but I wasn't really sure what the job entailed or what skills they needed. First up was a chat with a senior manager; it went fine. We discussed the company and my background, then they hit me with about 5-6 easy LeetCode questions, each taking around 5 minutes. It was pretty laid-back and positive. Then, about two weeks on, I had a second interview with two principal engineers. The first part, about 45 minutes, was super tough. They went deep into AI concepts and theory, which was weird since the role wasn't presented as AI-focused at all. It felt off. The other principal engineer, for the last 15 minutes, was great. We talked about my past work, and they seemed to think I'd be a good fit. The recruiter only texted, which felt weird and hard to keep track of. After the last interview, I heard nothing for about 20 days. I finally asked for an update and got a quick reply saying they weren't going forward. It was okay, but I wish they'd been clearer about the job details and what they wanted. Also, faster updates would've been nice. People were polite, but the whole thing felt a bit all over the place and not super clear.

Software Implementation Consultant
The interview process was really straightforward and made me feel comfortable. There were 2 rounds total. The first round was a behavioral interview that might include a qualitative problem-solving case question. They really just wanted to see how I'd handle talking to a client about issues, not test deep supply chain knowledge. I was advised to be confident and show interest in supply chain and technology. The second round involved researching a Manhattan product and then presenting to a panel about what it does and how I could make it better.
- Can you estimate the weekly coffee cup sales in New York City?
Software Development Engineer
This was a technical screen for a Software Development Engineer role. The focus was heavily on Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. I was asked about inheritance, polymorphism (including overloading and overriding), interfaces versus abstract classes, binding, the diamond problem, constructors, final/finally/finalize, copy types, multiple inheritance, and composition versus aggregation. They also threw in a data structures and algorithms problem.
- Could you explain inheritance and its types in Java?
- What is Polymorphism and can you illustrate it using method overloading and overriding?
- What distinguishes method overloading from method overriding?
