I applied for the job through LinkedIn in early August and was contacted by the internal recruitment team for a preliminary chat. Then I went to London in mid-August to meet the hiring manager. I thought it went well but I'm still waiting for feedback from L&G. I guess I didn't get the job, but I feel a quick call or email would have been polite, especially since I had to arrange childcare and pay for travel into London.

The interview process was very chilled and relaxed. The team is friendly and transparent. The interview starts with a 30 min intro to the interview process discussing what they offer and a bit about the company. After that, the interview and written assessment are done together and then around 8 candidates are in the group assessment. I was emailed by the Talent Acquisition Team a few hours after applying online, where we had a phone interview for 10-15 mins. Then I was invited to a face-to-face interview where I would have a 1:1 interview, group assessment, and written assessment. I was offered a job the next day. So, the whole process is around 4 stages taking place within 1 week.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process consisted of three parts. First, I had a chat with HR to talk about myself. Then, I had a semi-technical interview with two senior team members. The final stage was an interview with three senior team members and the head of pricing. I had high expectations for this company. After the three interviews, I was told I'd hear back in four days. It's been two weeks, and I've followed up twice with no response about my application. I feel like timely feedback is basic, especially after putting in so much time. This experience has been disappointing and makes me question their candidate communication.

Applied online and a week later had a phone interview with HR. This lasted about 10 minutes where they asked about my background, why I wanted the role and to work at l&g. Then I was invited to an online interview which had an hour of competency questions, followed by a role play task (given a situation, 10 mins to plan, 5 mins to give bad feedback) and a review task (given a situation to write a report on).

  • Can you share an instance where you simplified complex information?
  • Tell me about a mistake you made that had a negative effect on others.

Could you write a command-line program that takes two plain text files as input? The first file lists banned words (one per line), and the second contains English prose. Your script should then output the content of the second file, but with any banned words replaced by asterisks, where each asterisk represents an original character.
