Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Legal & General.
Data Analyst
They ask a number of questions about experiences and what you learn from them. All interviewers are friendly. There were a few personality questions along with some behavioural questions as well.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you faced and how you dealt with it.
Data Analyst
I got contacted through LinkedIn and had a few chats. The lead and another senior person interviewed me. The questions weren't too tough if you've been in the field for a bit.
- Tell me about database optimization.
Reporting Analyst
I applied via the LinkedIn app and got shortlisted in about a week, which was pretty quick. The interview itself was a good experience, the interviewers were really nice and calm. I showed them my online portfolio and they seemed interested. I walked them through projects I'd done that were relevant to the role, and they asked some general questions about those projects. I interviewed on June 6th and was told I'd hear back in two days. It's been three weeks now, and despite my follow-up emails, I haven't heard anything. I was told someone would update me on the outcome, but then I just got a generic email with no real explanation for the long silence or ghosting. The HR team could definitely use more training.
- Can you introduce yourself?
