First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Larsen & Toubro.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview experience was pretty average. We mostly talked about core full-stack development stuff, focusing on Angular for the front-end and .NET for the back-end services. For Angular, they asked about the basics like components, modules, data binding, directives, and simple routing. We also touched on form handling and connecting to APIs. It wasn't super deep, though – didn't really get into advanced performance, state management, or complex RxJS patterns. On the .NET side, it was about Web API, CRUD operations, basic security, and how to interact with databases. They didn't ask much about design patterns, scaling, performance tuning, or advanced Entity Framework. There were some theory questions, but no actual coding or real problem-solving. We barely discussed system design or architecture.

Intern
The interview experience was okay, could have been better, but it was pretty average. It was all online and very simple and chill, not too much pressure. First, there was a recruiter call to talk about my background, what I'm interested in, salary expectations, and if I'd be a good fit. Then, I had some technical rounds with coding tests and problem-solving tasks. After that, there was a manager or panel interview to check my problem-solving skills, how I work with others, and if I'd fit into the team and company culture. Finally, if all went well, there was an HR chat about pay, benefits, and when I'd start, before they made an offer.

First you can apply according to their eligibility criteria. Then you will have a test containing your core questions, aptitude and english and reasoning questions in 4 sections. After that test, shortlisting will be there and a final round of interview will be there in which they will ask you about your core technical questions and if you're interested for PAN india or not? And they will ask you to speak for about 2 mins on any recent topic going on!

Graduate Engineer Trainee
Had a good interview experience. Panel was welcoming and made the environment comfortable, helped ease initial nervousness. Questions were relevant and gave me the opportunity to reflect on both my technical knowledge and practical experience. Appreciated the balanced approach of the interviewers – they were thorough yet encouraging, and seemed genuinely interested in understanding my perspective. Overall, it was a smooth and well-conducted process that left me with a positive impression of the organization and its culture. Glad I had the opportunity to participate.
- Mostly technical questions were asked.
