Behavioral Technical Presentation

The whole thing took about a month and a half, which was way too long. It kicked off with a really unprofessional HR call. The person on the other end didn't even say who they were at first, just started asking about the job and team. Took them like ten minutes to introduce themselves and have me do the same. It felt messy and lasted about 30 minutes. Next up was a 45-minute chat with the hiring manager, and that was actually pretty good. They were clear and professional, and then they gave me an assignment to do in a week. I finished the assignment and then had a one-hour presentation with the team. They were nice and asked good questions and about some made-up scenarios. That part went okay. But after the presentation, I got totally ghosted. I followed up like a million times with HR and the hiring manager and heard nothing back, no feedback either. After putting in so much time and effort, it was super disappointing and unprofessional not to hear anything. I wouldn't suggest this interview process to anyone.

Behavioral Presentation

I went through the recruiter screen, then had a 30-minute competency interview with the hiring manager. The final stage involved a case study presentation. They seemed unimpressed with my chosen example during the interview. The feedback stated they passed on me because they sought someone with more robust pre-concept/early-concept experience. I actually have significant experience in this domain, but the case-study brief didn't specify this, and neither the recruiter nor the hiring manager emphasized it as a priority. They also didn't probe on pre-concept questions during my presentation. Weeks later, I received an unprofessional, templated rejection email from the recruiter, which inadvertently included a note from the manager instructing them to 'next time screen for pre-concept experience correctly,' which read poorly. The entire experience felt unorganized and left a negative impression of the company.

Technical Coding System Design Behavioral

The interview process was pretty standard: first a recruiter call, then a 45-minute technical interview. After that, there was a 2-hour loop which included 45 minutes of pair programming, 45 minutes for system design, and finally a 30-minute culture fit interview. Everyone I met was really friendly and seemed interested. The hiring manager was actually in every interview after the initial recruiter chat, which was a nice touch. The interviews mostly focused on my past experience and then my technical skills for Android development. No data structures or algorithms questions were asked. What was a bit surprising is that the system design question wasn't specifically about the Android stack, which caught me off guard a bit. All in all, the interviewers did a great job of making the company and the specific team feel personalized, which is more than I can say for many other places I've interviewed.

Technical Presentation

So the interview process started with an HR screening, then there was a technical interview, and it ended with a presentation round. I did the technical interview myself, and it was with one person who was a Senior Technical Product Manager. It was kinda weird because he said he wasn't from a technical background, which I thought was odd for a TPM role. The chat went well though, and they said I'd move on. But then I got an email saying I wasn't 'technical enough', which felt a bit off given the interview. My suggestion to management would be to have at least two people in technical interviews to make sure things are assessed fairly and to reduce any possible bias.
